Last Year’s Top 12 New Designs
With the Milan furniture trade show, Salone del Mobile, just two weeks away, the design world is preparing itself for the incredible new furniture trends and ideas of 2019. To get you ready for this year’s Salone, we wanted to highlight some of last year’s incredible products. Most of which are currently available in-stock at Anima Domus.
Sofas:
Our favorite sofas from last year’s Salone include the Argo by Porada & the Saks by Gamma. Both of these pieces highlight the strengths of their manufacturers, with the Argo’s solid wood base and the stunning leather on the Saks. Each sofa is slightly elevated off the ground, giving the sofas a lightweight, contemporary look. These are undeniably elegant (and comfortable!) sofas.

Armchairs:
While the Vera & the Love armchair are completely different, they are bold and rich showstoppers from 2018 that have quickly become client favorites. Boasting large seats for comfortable lounging, both armchairs are worthy of distinction.

Dining Chairs:
A great category during last year’s Salone was dining chairs. Each with perfect curves that fit nicely around the body, the Fl@t by Tonon and Wanda by Cattelan Italia bring a sportier look, without losing sophistication.

Dining Tables:
With the release of marble ceramic table tops a few years ago, the world of dining tables truly expanded and multiplied. Last year, more models were made available with a ceramic top (including the amazing Infinity table). For new models that deserve attention: the Art and the Planer table bring new shapes and forms to dining.

Beds:
2018 was the year of the impressive headboard! The gorgeous Rialto and Kenobi beds bring new flavors of headboards to the market. The Rialto is available with numerous different finishes for its headboard insert, from woods to metals. The Kenobi’s distinctive stitching along the headboard make it unlike any bed you’ve seen before.

Mirrors:
In 2018 we were lucky to get new interpretations of some of our favorite mirrors. Fiam brought in the Pop Square and the Caadre in bronze. The new looks are stunning.
